The biggest skill gap among engineering students today isn't coding. It's the ability to learn new technologies quickly. A programming language can change. A framework can become obsolete. AI tools can automate parts of development. But the ability to understand a new concept, adapt, and apply it effectively remains valuable regardless of industry trends. Five years from now, the engineers who thrive may not be those who knew the most technologies in college, but those who became the fastest learners.
